The bachelor party of the groom featured below was quite different compared to most of his counterparts. He went to a cabin with his friends for a getaway, but things took a very different turn when they happened to come across a stray dog during the trip.

Mitchel Caddock from Vicksburg, Michigan decided to spend some quality time in a remote cabin with his best boys before the wedding. They were cooking bacon for breakfast one day when they noticed a dog right outside.

“We were cooking bacon with the door open. The next thing you know, there’s this dog sitting right at the front door. She wouldn’t come inside, but she sat right there,” Caddock told ABC News.

The dog was cautious, so it took them some time get close to her. But the pooch quickly warmed up to their group of eight.

“She was such a sweet dog that once we gained her trust, she was happy to see us, wagging her tail — just a big sweetheart,” says Caddock.

They assumed that she must have just had pups when she started producing milk after they fed her.

They were concerned about the puppies, so they followed the dog. Then they found out that she had been looking after seven puppies in the forest by herself.

The puppies were dirty and flea-ridden, but they were healthy and plump.

“Every single one had a big fat belly on them. The mom had given the pups literally everything she had.”

After they were rescued, the groom and his buddies decided to adopt one each.

They live within a five mile radius of each other, so the dogs will get to see each other quite frequently.

They say they are overjoyed about the memories they were able make. “We pooled a bunch of money to buy food and beer. After the third day, our beer fund turned into puppy food fund,” says Caddock.
