Cody Green is one of the most courageous little boys you will ever come across. When he was only 22 months old, Cody was diagnosed with leukemia. But he fought against it and won. As he grew up, the cancer came back, but Cody beat it two more times. He beat the back to remission three separate times and he said that he drew his inner strength from the Marine Corps.

After all those years of chemotherapy, Cody’s body was in a state of complete havoc. His immune system got very weak. And even though he was cancer-free, a fungal infection began to spread throughout his now 12 year old body. He tried his best to fight against his new enemy, but the infection got to his brain and there wasn’t much hope.

Everyone realized he wasn’t going to make it, and even the Marines wanted to show just how much they respected his bravery. On his last day, the marines presented him with Marine navigator wings and officially named an honorary member of the marines. Marine Sgt. Mark Dolfini decided to remain by his side as a final honor guard for the young boy and he stood there for 8 straight hours! Watch the video below and share your comments!
