There has never been anyone like The King, and there never will be. Elvis Presley was truly a gift to the world. He was an incredibly talented singer, performer, and a really hilarious person overall. The video given below features one of Elvis’ hysterical performances from 1969. You will be in stitches when you see what happened in this show!
He was performing “Are You Lonesome Tonight” onstage. But instead of singing the original lyrics “Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there”, he changed the words of his song to “Do you gaze at your bald head and wish you had hair”. Some seconds later a man in the front row removed his wig and started swaying to the music. And that’s when Elvis couldn’t keep it together; he started chuckling right during his performance!
This live recording went on to become a UK Top 30 hit in 1982 after it was commercially released by RCA in the 1980 box set Elvis Aaron Presley. There is nothing on the label of the recording to indicate that it is anything other than an ordinary recording of the song.
