Diane Cupp was taking a flight from Germany to Houston when she and the other passengers on board were treated to a big surprise. The pilot instructed everyone to remain seated while an Army private escorted the remains of a fallen soldier off the plane. When a group of students who were on the flight heard his request, they started to sing “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” aka “Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory,” as tribute.
Diane Cupp posted the video on Facebook saying: “On our flight from Germany there was a Army private in uniform that so happen to be escorting the remains of a WW11 Soldier back home to Houston . The pilot announced he would be exiting the plane first, as he got up to leave there were a group of young people who had been on tour in Europe all of a sudden they broke out singing Glory Hallelujah. Listen how beautiful !! Will bring a tear to your eye.”
