We often subscribe human emotions, thoughts or feelings to animals because our relationship to many of them seem just as close, just as fulfilling as those that we have with our human friends. When it comes to our house pets like dogs and cats, we expect them to fight, hence the old adage “Fighting like cats and dogs”.
But here is a truly amazing story of survival by the by a newborn kitten, the family that nursed him back to health and the most unlikely of heroes, a 4-legged, furry angel named Opie. Inspiration from the animal kingdom, don’t we wish that all humans were so kind.
This is Roscoe. He Was about 2 days old when Lia and her puppy Opie found him under a log, almost dead. Opie not only sniffed him out, but refused to leave this tiny and helpless kitten by himself, to die alone
